Las Vegas International Film Summit to make its debut in 2010
After more than two years of research and development, organizers of the Las Vegas International Film Summit have recently informed that the first and biggest Film Event in Sin City will make its official debut in 2010. The summit is organized by film-makers, marketing professionals and top film industry executives.
The summit will run from March 29th to April 5th and will include three major events. The first event is a Motion Picture Industry Network that will introduce the audience to topics and important aspects of the motion picture production process, the tradeshow that will host film commissions, unions, production companies, equipment rental houses, wardrobe, catering and much more. The event will also feature a Film Competition and the International Film Showcase set to take place at the Sands Expo, and at The Venetian and the Palazzo Casino Resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. The Film Competition will feature a selection of 30 films: 10 short films, 10 documentaries and 10 student short films. The International Film Showcase will show a selection of international film representing 21 countries.
“Our mission is to use Las Vegas spectacular hotels and infrastructure to host the most influential film festival in the United States, and with that, contribute to the development of Las Vegas as an international cultural capital for the growing industry of cultural tourism. The Las Vegas International Film Summit will be open to all industry professionals and film enthusiasts as well. We welcome everyone who is or wants to be part of the international filmmaking community” said Joaquin Rodriguez, the festival coordinator.
Information on the films participating in the competition and the events schedule will be released in the next months.
