Haseeb Qureshi: Team CardRunners Full Tilt Poker Player Profile
Haseeb “INTERNET POKERS” Qureshi is a No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha instructor at Full Tilt’s CardRunners.com with a strong mathematical background and experience in everything from microstake tables all the way up to $500/$1000 games.
Like many other Full Tilt CardRunners instructors, Qureshi got his start by playing online poker in the comfort of his own home and worked his way up to the high-stakes games he now feels so comfortable playing.
Even though Qureshi has incredible mathematical skills, he feels that this is not what makes a poker player successful stating that, “self-awareness is the most important difference between an amateur poker player and a professional. Being aware of your own flaws, your emotions, and your relation to your goals is what really sets apart players who’ll never make it from the ones who have a shot.”
Qureshi also leans more towards the ring games as opposed to live tournaments since as he puts it, “there’s more direct reward for making good plays and outplaying your opponents. The other great thing of course is that you never have to commit to anything, whereas if you want to specialize in tournaments, you have to sit for long hours without much break until you bust out. In a cash game you can leave or play whenever you feel like it.”
When not busy with his poker instruction or playing online at Full Tilt Poker, Qureshi enjoys literature, movies and producing his own music at home on his piano or computer.
