The $335 Buy-In event drew 5,847 poker players, creating an overall prize pool of $1,680.000.  The four day event kicked off on January 20th and played its final table on January 24th. The winner was Sacramento’s Darrell Cain, who made one of the most remarkable comebacks in poker history. Thinking he was finished for the day after losing virtually all of his chips, Cain was ready to walk out the table when someone noticed he had 8 chips left. Called back to the table, he managed the way to recover and take home the $363,936 first prize.

“Darrell Cain’s win shows that it doesn’t take a miracle to win hundreds of thousands of dollars at Commerce Casino’s LAPC, it just takes staying in the game. We applaud Darrell’s never-give-up attitude and congratulate him on his victory.” said LAPC Tournament Director Matt Savage.
